Autumn is harvest season in the Hatch Valley of New Mexico, a region know far and wide for the chilis produced by its unique terroir. We've got 50 lbs of primo Hatch green on the way to NYC, and you're invited to celebrate. We'll have the roaster fired-up in the garden, turning the heartiest peppers of the Southwest into tasty morsels of citric, smoky and (somewhat) spicy goodness, just ready to be married to cotija cheese and stuffed into a tortilla fresh from the grill. We only do it once a year - don't miss out.
In addition we'll be serving up venison tacos from Master Chef contestant and good friend of the shop, Heather Dombrosky (@give0forks)! Johnny B of NYC hot sauce will make a vegetarian autumn chile and of course we will be washing it all down with cold beer and hot cocktails.
Ticket includes the entire experience.
Our annual chile roast is made possible thanks to Jon Bratton and the NYC Hot Sauce Co. The legend himself will be manning the roaster, so be sure to say hi.
