Phillip Michael Scales Band and Mike Maimone Band
Join us for a special Stone Arch Sessions which will feature two full band performances from Phillip Michael Scales and Mike Maimone!
Both artists have performed in this intimate space over the last few years, but for the first time each artist will bring their bands to town! Both Phillip and Michael have recently released new records, so this will be Appleton's first chance to hear it all in full band form in person.
Phillip-Michael Scales (Formerly Briar Rabbit) is a gifted songwriter who happens to be the nephew of BB King. His sound fits snuggly between folk and soul; demonstrating his knack for thoughtful, catchy melodies. It's no surprise in 2013, he won an International Songwriting Award.
As a performer, Mike Maimone leaves it all on the stage. Sean Moeller of Daytrotter said he "goes from a tame resting heart rate, living beneath a harvest moon, to pure adrenaline -- instantaneously. He goes from zero to a hundred quicker than most."
