The South Side Jazz Coalition Presents: The 3rd Annual Jazzy Evening In Red
The South Side Jazz Coalition is proud to present the 3rd Annual Jazzy Evening In Red. This year we will honor five individuals for their positive contributions to the south side Chicago community. Awardees are: Mr. George Freeman, an American Jazz Guitarist, for a lifetime of Jazz and Mentorship; Ms. Carolyn Albritton, best known as the maven as the Hyde Park Jazz Festival, for producing and facilitating live music; Ms. Hermene Hartman, Founder of the historic African American publication N'digo Magazine and Ms. Marvinetta Penn for her work as founder of the nonprofit international organization, Global Girls. A Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Mr. Herman Roberts of the Iconic Roberts 500 Room and one of the founders of The Chicago Crusader newspaper.
A delicious buffet will be served, compliments of Denoms Catering and a cash bar will be available.
