BY POPULAR DEMAND - A SECOND READING PERFORMANCE HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY MAY 11th
Doors open at 6:30 for a 7:00 SHARP start to the program. Parking is street parking, so please allow time.
Acclaimed Sherlockian Les Klinger will introduce the return engagement of the inaugural event of The Sherlock Holmes Playreading Series - readings of various historically interesting plays and musical events pertaining to Sherlock Holmes.
Mr. Klinger is the author of numerous Sherlockian scholarly works and was the advisor to the Robert Downey Jr. films.
The May 11th reading will be Conan Doyle's THE SPECKLED BAND, written by the master himself, rarely seen, and originally produced in 1910.
Photos from the original production curated by Mr. Klinger will be shown during his short lecture before the reading.
Original music has been composed for the series by Ovation winner Ryan Johnson. Director is acclaimed actor/director Robert Mammana whose Los Angeles productions include the award-winning ELIZABETH REX, WIT and BREAKING THE CODE Robert himself has performed on Broadway.
The actors (in alphabetical order) are: Rob Arbogast, Michael Basilli, Samara Bay, Paul Denniston, Barry Ford, Jonathan Le Billon, Michael Matthys, Karesa McElheny, Jonathan Meza, Steve Peterson, Don Schlossman, and Martin Thompson.
Series is produced by Bonnie MacBird, a writer/ actor/producer with credits in film, television and theatre. Bonnie is also a popular teacher at UCLA Extension's writing program.
The reading will take place in a private music hall in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles.
It is a private party and your reservation will require the names of each guest. Donations are not required,but are encouraged at $20/person at the door.
Refreshments will be served.
Your reservation will be your invitation. No one may enter without a reservation.
