MGG Lawn & Land Forum Workshop: Policymaking and Community Engagement Panel
What does an Integrated Pest Management or Natural Lawn Care policy actually look like? This panel will cover the major components to an effective written policy, the stakeholders to engage to pass a policy, and how to ensure implementation of the policy after passage.
We're excited to open this panel FREE to the public. Anyone interested in advancing natural lawn care in their community is welcome to attend. Speakers include Midwest Pesticide Action Center's Assistant Director and Communications Manager, Ryan Anderson, IL-IN Sea Grant's Great Lakes Outreach Associate, Allison Neubauer, and Healthy Community Project's Founder, Amy Joyce.
Space for this panel is limited to 30 individuals! No walk-ins will be accepted. YOU MUST RSVP!
Want to support pesticide reduction in Milwaukee? MPAC will sell raffle tickets during this event (1 ticket for $5 and 5 for $20) to support 2019 Midwest Grows Green projects in Milwaukee. Prizes include a full year of Organic Valley products, Sky Valley Foods organic international sauces, and Patagonia gear. You can pre-order raffle tickets by donating above.
To attend the rest of the full-day Lawn & Land Forum Workshop, visit bit.ly/LLFwksp18. Other panels for the forum cover technical information regarding managing sports fields, parks, and grounds with limited synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. Park and school district staff, municipal policymakers, landscapers, and other large turf managers will most benefit from the rest of the workshop.
