Northwest BachFest 2019 - The B-A-C-H Prism with The Richter String Ensemble
The Richter String Ensemble has four musicians from four countries, the UK, The Netherlands, France, and the US.  The Ensemble was formed in 2015, and one of its major interests is presenting J.S. Bach's masterpiece, Art Of The Fugue,as a prism from which three 20th century composers were inspired to bounce light off the prism originated by J.S. Bach. Three short pieces are interspersed into the Bach's final and enduring masterpiece, Art of the Fugue, forming the B-A-C-H Prism.

The Art of the Fugue is a combination of simplicity and complexity with its 15 canons and four fugues based on a single musical idea, a reflection of meticulous craftsmanship and brilliant technique in counterpoint. A rare and precious opportunity for our audience to experience J.S. Bach in this light.
