PRESENTATION: Construction productivity, new technologies, and a potential glimpse at the future The construction industry has lagged other industries with regards to the productivity of the workforce. Various Owner, Engineer, Contractor, and Supplier companies have joined forces to work with Academia to fund research to improve construction productivity. This presentation touches upon automation, modeling, RFID, AI, AR, and other technologies currently being developed.
PRESENTER: Jonathan (Jon) Kennedy, PSP Jon is the Project Controls Manager for the Regional Construction Division of Matrix Service Inc. out of Bellingham WA. Jon is serves as Matrixs representative on the Downstream Chemicals Committee for the Construction Industry Institute (CII), working on a research team for the CII DCC, getting to see some of the items to be discussed during the presentation. Jon has been actively involved with AACEs Seattle Section in 2013 and is a Past President of the Section. Jon has a Civil Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and outside of work and AACE, his life revolves around his kids soccer schedules.

TIME: Please note that our meeting times have moved up by half hour as requested by several of our members. 5:00pm - Social Hour 6:00pm - Dinner 6:45pm - Program
COST: The member price for this event is $32.00 if you register before 12:00 Noon on the Monday immediately preceding the meeting; late registration is $37.00. Non-members price is $39.00 before 12:00 Noon on the Monday immediately preceding the meeting, and $45.00 thereafter.
Please note that registration will be closed Monday, October 8th, at 8:00 pm.
A very limited of first come first served meals will be available at the door.
MENU: Chili-Lime Seared Chicken Breast, Hale's Ale Troll Porter Braised Short Rib, and Vegetarian (requires one week advance notice).

AACE Seattle Section meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from September through June (excluding December). Each meeting with a technical presentation qualifies for .25 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards your CCP/CEP/CFCC/DRMP/EVP/PSP recertification requirements.
