Small Business Lunch at Halls Signature Events
The King Street Marketing Group and Halls Chophouse are pleased to welcome Charleston Fire Chief Daniel Curia, Thursday, October 4th to All Business Lunch at Halls Special Events.
Chief Curia was chosen from more than 100 applicants to fill the post recently held by Chief Brock who retired last year. He began his new job in July and oversees a force of more than 350 professional first responders.
Daniel Curia previously served as Fire Chief for the city of Durham, North Carolina. He has 28 years of experience in the fire service, including 15 years as a Chief Officer.
He served as a Battalion Fire Chief from 2003 to 2008, and as an Assistant Fire Chief from 2008 to 2010. He served as Deputy Fire Chief from 2010 to 2013, until being named Fire Chief for the city of Durham.
Chief Curia has also served as a Firefighter (1990-1997), Fire Technician (1998-1999), and Fire Captain (1999-2003) with the city of Durham Fire Department.
He holds a Master of Science degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University, and a Bachelors degree in Public Administration from Shaw University.
