Learn to Play in a Bluegrass Band A class in collaboration for Banjo, Fiddle, Mandolin, Guitar and/or Upright Bass
$150 for Five Tuesday Evenings from 6 to 8 pm October 2, 9, 16, November 6 and 20.
Have you always wanted to play in a bluegrass band but not sure how to go about it? Tired of practicing your instrument all by yourself and never getting a chance to play with other people? Well, Kitty's Bluegrass Band Class might be just the thing you need! Bring your own instrument - be it Banjo, Fiddle, Mandolin, Guitar or Upright Bass and come play with us.
Raised in the Cincinnati area with a background of classical music, Kitty McIntyre started both piano and violin in grade school. She played in the school orchestra and the Cincinnati Youth Symphony through high school. In the early 1980's her Andy introduced Kitty to the bluegrass sound and she practiced until she could join Cincinnati's premier bluegrass band: Vernon McIntyre's Appalachian Grass. She has been touring with the band ever since. In between tours, as a partner in the Famous Old Time Music Company, Kitty teaches fiddle, mandolin, beginning guitar, beginning banjo, and upright bass.
