25 Hours Short & Sergio & Sergei Film
About 25 hours: Cuba 2014. Hilda is an emigrant who cares for her sick father in the Havana neighborhood of El Vedado. Her actions -and her disenchantment- makes us suppose a daily mimicry that crushes and saddens her, in a day that seems to last more than 24 hours. Her father got a purpose, but she has a longing. Everything happens on December 17, the historic date on which the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States is announced. " Cuban Director Carlos Barba in attendance"
About Sergio & Sergei: 1991. The USSR is gone but one man has yet to be told: with no funds to bring him back, Sergei, the last Soviet Cosmonaut, is floating aimlessly above the planet on the space station Mir. One night on the radio he stumbles across Sergio, a Marxism philosophy professor in Havana who is struggling to make ends meet in a now crumbling Cuba.
From award-winning Cuban director Ernesto Daranas (Behavior) and the producers of Midnight in Paris comes a comedy inspired by true events about an unexpected bond between two men caught in a changing world. " Cuban Lead Actor Hector Noas in attendance"
