Voter Activation Volunteers
Sustainable City, a nonprofit that helps flex citizen muscle to strengthen democracy, will activate new Whittier voters for the November elections.
Join a volunteer orientation on Sat. Sept. 29, 10am, at Santa Fe High School.
When voters only hear from candidates once every four years, it's not enough to restore our democracy. The 2016 presidential election demonstrated how our democracy suffers when so many voters stay away from the polls.
Our grassroots nonprofit has a demonstration project to get inactive voters to the polls this November. If successful, this methodology will be replicated nationwide for the 2020 presidential election.
Concerned citizens invited to volunteer and make a difference in Whittier.
High school and college students may participate to earn volunteer hours. Spanish language a plus.
