Crucifixus: Sacred Music by Lotti & J.S. Bach
Celebrate the upcoming Easter season with reflective and joyful music in the gorgeous setting of Knox United Church. Find inspiration in Bach's Cantatas 12 and 147, which features music that Bach later used again in his B minor Mass and D minor Keyboard Concerto. Then delight in the Calgary premiere of Italian baroque composer Antonio Lotti's Missa Sancti Christophori, whose emotional crest is the stunning Crucifixus for 8-part double choir. We will be joined by our professional chamber orchestra and operatic soloists Hannah Pagenkopf, Aoife Bonaventura, David Fertal and Tyler Fitzgerald.
