Horse Property Tour - Commercial Stable, Vossenberg Farm
Tour a local commercial stable and training farm on 25 acres, Vossenberg Farms, in Ridgefield, and get stewardship ideas for your property by seeing practices in action. This property was recognized by WSU Clark County Extension as a model property for their stewardship.
Participants will have the opportunity to see pasture and grazing in action, and learn about drainage practices and reducing mud. This model property is a great property to tour for any acreage owners who are thinking about adding horses to their land. Come learn about how the landowners achieved recognition as a model property and how best management practices have been implemented to improve their property and protect natural resources, while saving time and money.
Bring your family & friends and questions you have about your property. Please dress appropriately for the weather, bring a water bottle and wear sturdy boots as we'll be in the field.
The Small Acreage Program, co-sponsored by Washington State University Clark County Extension and Clark County Clean Water Program, will lead the tour with the landowners.
