Presented in collaboration with SECCA in honor of their exhibit Cubans: Post Truth, Pleasure and Pain, Cristina García will speak about her new novel, Here in Berlin. García's newest work, Here in Berlin is the story of people, war, and identity. The city itself becomes a character within the book's pages.
Born in Cuba, García is a former Miami Bureau Chief and TIME Magazine researcher and reporter who has transitioned to fiction as a way to share her stories. In addition to her seven novels, García has edited two anthologies of Cuban and Mexican literature, respectively, and published two children's books and a collection of poetry. Don't miss the chance to enjoy a reading and discussion with this award-winning author!
