The New Reeltime Travelers
Pickin Productions Presents The New Reeltime Travelers World Class Oldtime Music! Friday April 19, 2013 The Paradise Theatre 215 Grand Ave, Paonia, CO 7:30pm Show $15 Presale, $18 Day of Show Tix and more info avail online www.pickinproductions.com Locally at KVNF, The Paradise Theater and Homestead Market The New Reeltime Travelers: This fresh ensemble of Oldtime musicians is a super group of sorts, featuring two original members of The Reeltime Travelers (mandolin, Thomas Sneed & banjo, Roy Andrade), along with Betse Ellis (fiddler from The Wilders), Eric Thorin (bass, Mollie O'brien, Open Road) and Carol Elizabeth Jones (guitar, vocals from North Carolina). The Reeltime Travelers played in the North Fork Valley twice in the past, but not in quite a few years. If you caught either of those shows though, or saw them in the movie Down From The Mountain with Emmylou Harris & Ralph Stanley, or on stage at Telluride, RockyGrass, MerleFest, etc, you know this is a band not to miss! They're well schooled in the tradition of Oldtime music but also meld several other styles of music (bluegrass, folk, country) to create an engaging and very entertaining show.
