Rainbow City Band (RCB) presents the 2018 Rainbow Ball and Gala Fundraiser and Concert, an evening featuring dance-themed music, dinner and fundraising on October 20, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at the Seattle Renaissance Hotel.
Attendees will be treated to an elegant, fun-filled evening including a cocktail reception, dinner, silent and live auctions, and a full slate of concert band music, followed by the chance to dance the night away.
Concert band musical selections feature traditional and popular dance music including Danzon from Fancy Free (Bernstein), Symphonic Dance No. 3: Fiesta (Williams), Suite of Old American Dances (Bennet), and Just Dance (Lady Gaga) among others.
Proceeds go to Rainbow City Performing Arts (RCPA) to support community music, purchase new instruments to expand the bands repertoire, promote membership outreach, and create a safe space for LGBTQA musicians of all levels to make music.
"I want to take the opportunity as we reinvigorate our annual gala to celebrate the transformations of our organization and all of the people who have made RCPA the family that it is today. I hope that you join us in our mission to make the Seattle community better with the band! said Tim Norris, Rainbow City Band Artistic Director.
Festive attire encouraged! The event will be hosted by Brian Calvert of KOMO news.
Tickets are available for $100 per person until October 10, and $125 after October 10. Vegetarian dinner option available.
The evening doesn't have to end after the auction! Treat yourself and your guest to a night at the elegant Renaissance Seattle Hotel with a special 15% discounted rate. Use promotional code K6Y at http://www.renaissanceseattle.com.
