The Hey-Ho Trio
The Hey-Ho Trio is half of Portlands well-regarding swing band, the Midnight Serenaders. The band formed in 2005, putting together a sound reminiscent of the small swing combos popular during the 20s and 30s, adding a Hawaiian flavor with the inclusion of ukulele and Hawaiian Steel guitar. Led by crooner/rhythm guitarist Doug Sammons, the Trios repertoire consists of specially chosen gems from the past, as well as vintage sounding original songs.

Doug Sammons began his journey into American folk and roots music as a member of the renowned New York City jug band, the Metropolecats. Soon after relocating to the West Coast in 1991, he helped form one of Oregons most respected bluegrass groups, Sam Hill. As guitar player, lead and harmony vocalist, and emcee, Doug worked with the group through the release of three CDs as the band gained considerable national attention.

Dee Settlemier, vocalist extraordinaire, also plays guitar, mandolin, banjo, as well as ukulele, has been writing songs and singing for as long as she can remember. She was a founding member of the acoustic folk-rock group Mad Hattie, playing with many stellar Portland musicians. More recently there's been quite the buzz around town about Dee's other project, the Libertine Belles, a sensational all-female vocal group. People say that Dees house is basically one huge vintage clothing closet.

Ben Bonham has over twenty years of professional experience as a live performer, teacher and recording musician in both the U.K. and America. Since 1996, this British expatriate has delighted U.S. audiences with his renderings of old time American music and his mastery of Delta blues, vintage Hawaiian, folk, ragtime and country blues guitar.
