Small Boobs is a performance solo offered out of curiosity around the intertwined follies of gender and relationship. Using levity as a Trojan horse for heartache, it unweaves and retangles tall tales and embodied blueprints of childhood, transhood, a donut shop, and beyond.
Created and performed by Chicago-based artist Nora Sharp, Small Boobs builds a world and invites you in, using personal history, a mini synthesizer, extended metaphor, and more.
Small Boobs was developed with the support of residencies at Links Hall and VOLTA Performing Arts in Chicago. The show tours to the Shawl-Anderson Dance Center in Berkeley, CA following its summer 2018 premiere in Chicago and fall 2018 presentation at Solo: A Festival of Dance at On the Boards in Seattle. The show runs about an hour.
