QXTs is proud to present Diva Burlesque in our Q's lounge. Our show is produced by our good friend and long time burlesque promoter formerly of Hell's Kitchen Lounge, LJ aka The Diva Lady J.

Let's take a trip back in time and bring the art of burlesque for your entertainment. Back in the Day "The Empire" in Newark which opened in 1913 as a variety show house, until 1920s the strip tease was added to burlesque when vaudeville began feeling the competition from motion pictures and added the strip tease as a vehicle for attracting men away from the movies.

The name of some burlesque performers of the 1930s and 1940s that played the Empire included Margie Hart, Lili St. Cyr in her bath routine, Rosita Royce with her trained doves covering her partial nudity, and the fiery red-headed sensation, Georgia Southern who made the biggest impression on this young pre-World War II burlesque attendee. {History credit about "Burlesque at the Empire Theatre" was by Nat Bodian}.

So come join the newest Burlesque night in NJ just 20 minutes from NYC on the PATH and enjoy some drinks, do some dancing, and take in an amazing performances.
