October 2018 LAI Luncheon
The concept of crowdfunding, where numerous individuals pool their investments into a single capital source, is not new. Syndication has long been around. What is new is the advent of web-based platforms that facilitate the introduction of the deal sponsors to the individual capital providers. What is available now? And how has it evolved since the 2012 JOBS Act relaxed some securities regulations for smaller investments? What is the long-term potential impact on the traditional capital flows in real estate? AlphaFlow, Inc. is a registered investment advisor which, on behalf of accredited and institutional clients, builds individual diversified portfolios of first lien residential bridge loans, sourced from several crowdfunding platforms. Please join us for a discussion with Ray Sturm, CEO, and Miles Deamer, Director of Investments, about the mechanics, history and potential future of crowdfunding for real estate.
