ABOUT THIS WEBINAR: A press release can be a vital tool in getting the word out about your upcoming event. In this hour-long webinar, experienced PR professional Staci Smith will discuss the purpose of a press release, proper formatting & content guidelines, and some best practices in distributing your press release.
*This workshop is open to artists of all disciplines and backgrounds looking to learn about press releases.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Staci Smith has been a publicist for over 16 years with a specialty in working with arts and nonprofit clients, including Bonham's Auction House, the Galleries at Hermès, Cedar Lake Dance Company, and Knopf Publishing. She regularly places clients in national outlets such as The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Associated Press, and NPR as well as local or niche outlets. Her goal is to not simply seek out status symbol press, but the type of publicity that will actually help her clients reach their desired audience and help their organizations grow. REFUND POLICY Artist Trust reserves the right to cancel any program. If cancelled, a full refund will be applied. If a participant needs to cancel for a paid program, the following policy will apply:
- A full refund can be issued if notified 5 days prior to the program date. - Artist Trust cannot provide refunds or credits for missed classes. Please contact the coordinator if you have any questions regarding specific content of the workshop.
These refund policies are in place because workshops have limited space and this is intended to ensure we are able to offer the space to another attendee if notice is provided far enough in advance.
