Lantern Tour with Living History Presenters
Living history presenters will portray historical figures related to the American Presidency during a lantern tour of Spiegel Grove, the grounds of the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums.
Guides with lanterns will lead groups around the grounds, where they will stop at various places and see performances by costumed presenters portraying figures, such as presidents, first ladies, presidential children or cabinet members.
This new program will be coordinated by Christie Weininger, executive director of the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums. Consulting on the project is Jeremy Meier, associate professor of theatre at Owens Community College and developer of original, first-person Chautauqua performances as George Custer, John Dillinger, Oliver Hazard Perry, and Bobby Kennedy.
