Tribute to Joe Edwards @ St. Louis International Film Festival
Cinema St. Louis the local nonprofit organization that produces the St. Louis International Film Festival (SLIFF) and other annual film events celebrates the cultural fabric of our community and showcases both local and global films, providing new and veteran filmmakers with an outlet to share their stories.
This year, Cinema St. Louis is celebrating Joe Edwards, an iconic fixture of St. Louis, for his achievements in connecting cultures and communities since 1972, including the restoration of SLIFFs signature venue, the Tivoli Theatre. We'll be gathering at Delmar Hall on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, to honor Joe, and we hope you'll join us.
Cinema St. Louis has many invaluable supporters in St. Louis, and Joe is one of our most essential partners. We're delighted to present him with a Lifetime Achievement Award at this special event.
As we embark on our 27th Annual Whitaker St. Louis International Film Festival (SLIFF) held from Nov. 1-11, 2018 we'll celebrate his contributions to the St. Louis area at a reception and screen one of Joes favorite films, The Big Lebowski, on the 20th anniversary of the cult classic with special guest John Goodman. (The John Goodman/Big Lebowski event has already sold out.)
