CityMusic Columbus presents Ayreheart
GRAMMY-nominated lutenist Ronn McFarlane founded Ayreheart in 2010 out of the
desire to write new music for the lute - the most popular instrument of the Renaissance -
and make it accessible to a wider audience. The original music of Ayreheart reflects
elements of Celtic, Folk, Bluegrass, and Renaissance music. In addition to original
music, Ayreheart also performs Renaissance and Traditional music as a vital part of its
musical life.

CityMusic Columbus sponsors a diverse spectrum of performances by top-rank musicians in unique, intimate settings as well as provides musical experiences and education to underserved children and their families in central Ohio.
Music enhances learning, literacy, responsibility, spirituality, and creativity, and children who receive music education are better equipped to excel in academic activities and to participate in their communities. CityMusic Columbus can enhance the lives of citizens in our community by filling the gaps in exposure to musical opportunities.
Proceeds from this performance will help support CityMusic Columbus to further expand music programs in Columbus metro area Head Start programs and enable additional music programs in Columbus Metropolitan Library branches.
