PISAB New Jersey Statewide Gathering
Please note: If you would like to sponsor someone to attend the statewide gathering, please email for more information directly to antiracistalliancenj@gmail.com.

We are excited to announce that on October 27 and 28, 2018, a PISAB NJ Statewide Gathering of Anti-Racist Organizers will take place for anyone who has attended the PISAB Undoing Racism Workshop. Our statewide organizing planning committee has been building momentum to offer an event that will strengthen our relationships and our networks, while celebrating the impacts of humanistic and anti-racist organizing on our lives and communities. We are reaching out to groups or collectives like yours to initiate an equitable pre-registration process as we expect seats will fill quickly.

We are organizing to offer this NJ event and proud to set the model for future gatherings by manifesting the following goals:
1. Launch a cost-effective reunion of anti-racist organizer.s
2. Strengthen our identity as accountable members of our communities.
3. Foster our relationships and commitment to one another in this line of work.
4. Fortify our organizing and marketing efforts.
5. Decrease isolation of anti-racist organizers throughout NJ.
6. Allow for data to be collected about the impact of our work.

We are committed to organizing in an antiracist way by prioritizing the participation of people of color at this gathering. We acknowledge that we are living in a systemically racist society and as a result of the unequal access to wealth, we are prioritizing the following groups for scholarships: people of color, students, elders, unemployed and non-salaried community organizers.

Meals are included except for Friday night and Saturday night dinner. Lodging costs are estimated to be $100 per night in the New Brunswick area.

In addition to the gathering, there will be an opportunity for those interested in talking with the Peoples Institute about becoming a Peoples Institute trainer on Friday evening, October 26.  Please RSVP by September 15 to antiracistalliancenj@gmail.com.

Thank you for your consideration.

In solidarity,

PISAB NJ Statewide Gathering of All Anti-Racist Organizers Planning Committee
