Juana Luna, Carolina Mama
Juana Luna is an awarded singer songwriter from Buenos Aires, Argentina, based in Brooklyn, New York.
She is a music creator, performer, arranger, improviser, storyteller and collaborator who spends her time performing with her own band and with her Vocal Trío, composing new music, touring and teaching.
Recently, Juana released her first EP, featuring arrangements of a selection of South American songs as well as original compositions, which got a nomination for best EP in the World Music category at the IMA Awards NYC. She was also awarded by the Global Music Awards in the female vocalist and emerging artist categories.
Her band paints worldly soundscapes, from the Argentinean folk, to Bossa Nova, to the Uruguayan candombe to the South American canción and everything in between and around.
