About the Discussion:

When we say, I'm not creative, we usually mean, I'm not an artist or I have not invented anything new. Although honest and probably realistic, such statements may conceal an excuse: I don't really feel like venturing into the unknown. Let us, this time, start with the opposite statement, I am creative, and try to get a glimpse into the psychology of the creative process. We will use two case studies one from literature, the other from science and will focus on some of the most elusive facets of creativity: uncertainty, betweenness, inspiration, and flow.
