Synopsis: Stuck in a Florida swamp near Disney World, the Nettles sisters are determined to escape spinsterhood by hopping the next spaceship out of town, and they're not going to let the arrival of a snake charmer, a handsome Mormon Bishop and a mysterious bird woman stand in their way.

About the Author: Nathan Sanders received the Oppenheimer Award nomination from New York Newsday for the "most impressive debut of a new American playwright" first play, The Sugar Bean Sisters. Since that time, the play has been produced at 75 regional theatres across the country, including Greenbrier Valley Theatre in Lewisburg, W.V. Selections from The Sugar Bean Sisters have been published in One on One: The Best Women's Monologues for the Nineties by Applause Books
About the Director: Naomi Harrison-Carder is a North Carolina native who had happily acclimated to life on the family farm in Beautiful West Virginia. Her North Carolina theater credits include roles in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, The Mikado and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. She also has written, directed and performed in several short plays. Since Joining Kanawha Players
About the Performers: Patricia Wehrle,(Faye Clementine Nettles, credits include: Mame, Uncommon Women and Others, My Fair Lady, Applause, Annie Get Your Gun, Oklahoma, Rehearsal for Murder, GodSpell, The Pirates of Penzance, Pippin, Bright Ideas, and Anne of Green Gables,among others.
Kat Johnson,(Willie Mae Nettles), performs in several shows a year. Some of her favorite roles have been Mary Surratt ('Lincoln'/CYAC) and Marilla Cuthbert ('Anne of Green Gables'/KP).
Ginger Basham-Workman,(Videllia Sparks), theater experience includes Mrs. Sawyer (Miracle On 34th St./KP), Farrah (American Recipe/KP), Directer of Evil Dead The Musical (KP)
Gerard Marsili, (Biship Crumley), has performed in many Kanawha Players shows such as Dr. Finsdale (Li'l Abner), Geoffrey (Steppin' Out), The Lion (When Dorothy Meets Alice), and the Sheriff (the Homecoming).
Micki Maley,(Reptile Woman), has previously graced the stage as Melinda Hawkins (Honey in the Rock/TWV), Oletta Crews (Rain of Terror/RS, Yenta (Fiddler on the Roof/CLOG), Mother Superior (Agnes of God/KP), Cookie (Rumors/KP), Grandma Kurnitz (Lost in Yonkers/KP), Mother McGoof (Dark Deeds at Swans Place/RS)
