With Lisa DeVetter, Associate Professor of Small Fruit Horticulture, and Bev Gerdeman, Entomology Research Associate, based at the Mt. Vernon Research Station.

Lisa leads the statewide Small Fruit Horticulture program and is based at the Northwestern Washington Research and Extension Center in Mount Vernon, Washington. Lisa is originally from Iowa and got her BS and MS degrees at Iowa State University. She went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for her PhD focused on cranberry production. Lisa joined WSU in 2014 and has developed a diverse research and extension program with an emphasis on maximizing productivity, fruit quality, and on-farm efficiencies, while ensuring the health of adjacent natural resources critical for small fruit crop production in the Pacific Northwest.
