J.P. Harris House Concert
Roots Hoot House Concerts welcomes back J.P. Harris on Sunday, October 14. It has been 5 years since he last tore it up at Roots Hoot. J.P. is touring behind his brand new album called "Sometimes Dogs Bark at Nothing" out on October 5, 2018 on Free Dirt Records. It is his 1st album for Free Dirt. Harris is back after a four-year hiatus to remind us what it's like to actually live the stories we hear so often in country music. For this record, his third full-length, he tapped a handful of his favorite players and called on the production prowess of Morgan Jahnig (Old Crow Medicine Show) to capture the stories of his stranger-than-fiction life. Dripping with pedal steel and telecaster twang, the record has the rugged edges of outlaw, the danceability of honky tonk, and classic country's beloved emotional candor. Doors are at 4 pm and show time at 4:30. This is a BYOB/potluck show which means terrific food to go with what promises to be roof-raising afternoon of music. Sounds like win-win to us.
