Lisa Schneidau - Tangle of the Commons - Lee
Wild plants surround us and shape every aspect of our lives: the food on our plates, the clothes on our backs, and the places we live. But the old stories tell us that the spirits of nature and of place are not all that they seem. What happens when they are pushed too far and will humans be the worse for it? Whose land is it anyway? Lisa Schneidau tells wild stories from the British and Irish traditions that will surprise, shock and inspire you. Meet leafy demons, bad-tempered boggarts, travelling trees and the wrath of the Little People. Devons green and pleasant land will never seem the same again. Age Suitability: 7+. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Do wear sturdy shoes or boots you can walk in and consider taking something to sit on and a camping mug for refreshments. There will be a wet-weather option. Storytelling around the fire followed by some family friendly woodland crafts in Yomer Wood. Suit-able for adults and children over 7. Drinks and campfire supper (veggie option) available to buy - please advise on booking. Due to terrain, this might not be suitable for all. Do enquire if you have access concerns.
