Synopsis: In Tierra del Fuego (Fireland) feral dog-packs have been attacking the island's economic mainstay- sheep-flocks- and are affecting wildlife and the general ecological balance. The origin of the problem: urban dwellers abandoning their pets. Thus 'man's best friend' becomes a growing menace, now threatening man himself- who doesn't seem to find answers to the serious imbalances he himself has created.
Filmmaker Bio : Juan Dickinson graduated from Harvard in 1967, and attended workshops at the AFI Center for Advanced Film Studies and Swedish Film Institute. Worked in cinema as a camera and sound person as of the late sixties. Directed documentaries and fiction films as of the seventies, both in Europe and Latin America. Presently based in Argentina.
