CHELSEA AINSWORTH will present "Surrender Control," choreographed by HUMA to music by Nicole Davis. Performers are Ainsworth, Doron Perk, Jessica Smith and Brad Geyer. The quartet is a union of spoken word and dance created by HUMA, the resident collective at Arts on Site NYC.
LOUISE BENKELMAN and TOMMY SEIBOLD. The team's second collaboration presents a balance of wit and trust as a string of vignettes set to a compilation of Franz Lehar's most memorable waltz melodies.
HEWMAN, with co-founders JASON COLLINS, LINDSAY HARWELL, and INGRID KAPTEYN, presents its second work for Soaking WET, with an emphasis on connecting the performers with the audience.
SARA HOOK presents "Janes," performed by Kendra Portier, formerly with David Dorfman Dance, set to music by M. Anthony Reimer. Hook remains fascinated by the relationship between femininity and classical technique, and the contemporary "condition" of being female in today's society.
ALISON MANNING presents "GirlOccupied," a story of protest that explores the psychological effects of our current political climate. A collaboration between DanceTheYard directors Alison Manning and Jesse Keller Jason and writer Alison Weaver, loosely based on a fictional short story by Ms. Weaver.
