This ensemble explores Michael Beling's compositions in a chamber jazz setting, inspired by world, film score and impressionist music. His music defies narrow definitions of style it can be emotionally intimate, cinematic, or outright manic, but is always easy on the eyes. The Middle Eastern rhythms of Eric LaPerna and beautiful clarinet work of Barry Saunders feature prominently.
