Blessings for BLES: A Benefit for Boon Lott's Elephant Sanctuary
Boon Lott's Elephant Sanctuary, (BLES) is passionately devoted to creating a safe and natural home for Asian elephants of Thailand. BLES is situated on over 700 acres of forested land in the rural village of Baan Tuek in northern Thailand. Consisting of mature banana plantations, grasslands, open fields, fresh water rivers, and all types of fruit trees, BLES provides the elephants with a bounty of stimulation, exercise, and time to enjoy what is rightfully theirs. This unique sanctuary is a haven that allows the elephant to simply be. There are no rides, shows, or painting projects just elephants who are finally allowed to live with dignity and respect.
Jami Sieber, world renowned electric cellist/composer, has been visiting and supporting BLES since 2009 when she first heard about the founding of a new sanctuary BLES. Along with the non-profit Impact a Village, Jami is honored to host the benefit Blessings for BLES on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Sacred Stream in Berkeley. Katherine Connor,(founder of BLES), along with her two children, Hope - 10 yrs. and Noah - 9 yrs old will be there to share stories and images from their home located at BLES. A special treat of live music will be provided by Jami and Lorin Grean, (Celtic harp). There will also be light appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages.
