The H-Word
The H-Word, is a collection of living stories from the second and third generations of survivors of the Holocaust, and other acts of genocide around the globe built into a compelling evening of solo theatre by Performer Frannie Sheridan. Stories come from the lives of the children and grandchildren of people who have survived attempted extermination of a specific population. The piece sheds light on a common thread, that each and every act of genocide has been predicated on the premise that the victims aren't of value so it's okay to treat them as less than human, with a focus on resilience of spirit, passion for indigenous culture, soulful food and humor.
Sheridan is known as co-writer of The Waltonsteins, IRT/NPR/CBC-winner of The Gabriel Award. She is also the creator and performer of Confessions Of A Jewish Shiksa...Dancing On Hitler's Grave! performed throughout South Florida which received mayoral proclamations.
