Workshop 24 - ALISON CARLYLE and AMY GEDDES - Lomond Room
COMBINED FIDDLE AND STEP DANCE - Playing for dance, and dancing, open to both fiddles and dancers
A slight change to published programme in that this class now includes tuition in playing fiddle for step dance as well as expanding your step dance techniques. Alison is an experienced teacher and performer who has taught for Scots Music Group, Ceòlas and Fèis Rois, Amy a well known and respected fiddle tutor.
The workshop will explore the interaction between music and dance, techniques in both, as separate sections, joining together during the the workshop in stages, to combine the two. Dancers to wear hard soled shoes if possible (no metal taps, please).
