Scottish debut of the singer tipped by Rolling Stone Magazine as 1 of the 10 "new country artists you need to know"
The intersection of folk, road-worn country and amplified bluegrass, Don Gallardo is a Nashville based singer-songwriter who began earning his road-dog stripes before the new millennium.
The band is a mighty lineup of Travis Stock (bass), Jim Maving (elec gtr) and Simon Smith (drums).
From the foot of Mount Tamalpais, just north of San Francisco and east of the Pacific shore, to East Nashville's stubbornly independent community of young artists and musicians, Gallardo's path has always steered clear of the mainstream.
His music has featured prominently in films like Jolene and Jackass Presents Bad Grandpa, as well as television series such as The Vampire Diaries, ABC/CMT's Nashville, and the Netflix series, The Ranch.
Country-rock with brains, charm and experimental impulses that are perfectly integrated into a familiar context Nashville Scene.
"Gallardo nods to country's most distant past while sounding like its very near future" **** MOJO
SUPPORT: Cera Impala Cera Impala creates songs that feel instantly familiar. Her whiskey-honeyed voice and intimately crafted pieces take you to another time and place, of dreams and magic, sensual as they are savage.
Born in Flagstaff, AZ Cera has made many places her home since '94 when she left; from Portland, Oregon, to New York City, California, Olympia, Washington. Berlin Germany, to Edinburgh Scotland.
There is a beautiful truth and intensity to Cera Impala, like a bar of deliciously dark chocolate - bittersweet, and very moreish. https://ceraimpala.com
