In Search of Xanadu takes the cult Olivia Newton-John film as a starting point and reimagines the kitsch classic in a beautiful, iconic Margate location. Dance routines and dramatic scenes draw on the last 200 years of Margates rich and eccentric history, as the audience are taken on a trip through nightclubs and dance, regeneration and romance.

Will Sonny ever quit his dead end job and follow his dreams?

Will Olivia ever leave London?

Will Margate ever get the nightclub that it deserves?

Xanadu is a place where timeframes collide, fall apart and new myths are made. As our muse Olivia says, All I want is now! And now is all we have.
