Performance by Violeta Luna with (MUA) Mujeres Unidas y Activas
For those who are no longer here questions and reflects on gender violence and the female body, seen as something that can be abused and disposed of. The piece draws a connection between brutal physical violence, and the no less brutal and dehumanizing economic violence which renders invisible thousands of women whose only means of survival is to work all day in sweatshops and many other legal, but no less abusive, spaces.
This performance is dedicated to women who are murdered, and to denouncing these gender crimes which constantly fall in total impunity, such as the "femicides" that occur in Mexico as well as the countless victims of domestic and institutional violence all over the world.
