Women Who Folking Rock: Local songwriter and spoken word artist Janet Croteau brings her Songwriter Salon to its new location at Michaels on Main. This dynamic rotating showcase of local talent always entertains and delivers. "Women Who (Folking) Rock features four local gals who delight and memorize with a rich palate of original songs, guitar accompaniment and harmonic wonder.
Nancy Cassidy: Multi-platinum singer and songwriter Nancy Cassidy, whose 15 projects combined have sold over 2 million copies, has just released her 9th album of original material, Rivers Rising, offering 13 cuts of comfort, community, compassion and hope during times that need it. Like right now. Her millions of fans will recognize her signature stamp and smoky alto through the whole ride, with styles ranging from folk & gospel to feisty rock-a-billy.
Janet Croteau is a songwriter, and spoken word performer whose music is infused with her quirky and effervescent spirit. She brings emotional depth and an authentic and comedic spirit to the stage. The inspiration for Janets raw and earthy Folk/Americana style comes from the beauty and madness of the world. Janet, believes that if you water down who you are, the real people will never find you. She recently released her first album Wild Heart.
Lauren Wahl is Santa Cruz based singer-songwriter and lead singer of her band Simply Put. Her acoustic finger-picking guitar accompanies the surprisingly rich timbre of her voice. Favoring minor key tonality and introspective lyrics, her songs range from soul-full ballads to the occasional comedic parody. A natural entertainer and trained vocalist, Lauren's music is a powerhouse driving a musical narrative.
Janean Christine Mariani writes & sings stripped-down bare-bones acoustic country/folk Americana songs of life, love, loss and every now & again a touch of sass & blues.
