EUNIC Chicago is looking forward to working closely with all the local, national and international organizations based in Chicago to organize, support, promote and expand cultural and social events related to European culture in the city. Please join us on Monday, September 24, at 5:30 pm at Instituto Cervantes and meet the representatives of the Cultural Institution of the European countries in Chicago, share your ideas and proposals, and extend your network for future cultural partnerships, collaborations, cross promotions, funding, etc.

The EUNIC round table is an opportunity to learn through networking and through practice what are the challenges and opportunities in international collaborations. Experts in the international cultural map of the city will share their experience and knowledge. What is EUNIC Chicago? EUNIC Chicago is a network of European national institutes and organizations engaged in cultural activities beyond their national borders. EUNIC brings together organizations from all 28 EU member states in a local cluster of its global network. By pooling together the resources and expertise of its members, EUNIC is able to work on common areas of interest. EUNIC is a recognized partner of the EU and its stakeholders are defining and implementing European policy on culture inside and outside the EU. EUNIC promotes cultural diversity and cultural dialogue. It also advocates for a stronger role for culture in public policies at both European and international levels.
What is the networking event about? EUNIC Chicago is looking forward to working closely with all of Europes cultural organizations based in Chicago. Local European institutions are invited to join EUNIC Chicago. We will introduce the current members (The Cultural Service at the Consulate of France, the Goethe-Institut, The Instituto Cervantes, and The Italian Cultural Institute) and share opportunities to participate and create new possibilities for collaboration for the future. Our goal is to promote and support the launch of European cultural events in the city (book clubs, exhibitions, film series, conferences, theatre, partnerships, etc.), all designed to reach a wide and new audience and to engage the Chicago public with the varied European facets of their cultural heritage.
Who might be interested? This networking session will gather together professionals from cultural and educational institutions who develop projects that relate to Europe.
What should participants expect? Exchange of experiences, meet cultural project leaders from other cultural centers, boost collaboration between centers, discover the upcoming EUNIC Chicago projects, and learn how to join and work with EUNIC Chicago on future topics.
