Legendary coach, Carl Johnson, leads four seniors and one freshman phenom as the Bridgehampton High School Killer Bees set out to defend their New York State title. Beside Coach Johnson on the bench is world renowned artist, Joe Zucker. Behind them in the stands community leaders fight to keep the school open and preserve a place for the black population in the Hamptons.
A skeleton crew of five set out to document the ebb and flow of one Killer Bees season. The story they found went beyond basketball to examine issues of race and absurd income inequality in the middle of the Hamptons. As word spread the film attracted a dream team of producers, including all time NBA great and art enthusiast, Shaquille ONeal.
