Kensington Singers - Autumn Term 2018

This is payment for the Autumn Term 2018 for Kensington Singers, a 50-strong community choir that rehearses in Earls Court. Rehearsals will be every Monday at St Philips Church Hall (7.00pm-8.45pm) from the 24th September until the concert on 10th December. There is no rehearsal on Monday 22nd October due to half term.

Repertoire will include a range of styles, including festive favourites in the run up to Christmas. There are no auditions and all singers are welcome.

Our end of term concert will be during the second week of December and it is likely we will have a couple of additional performances throughout the term too.

Please buy a ticket for the section you sing in; voice parts range from soprano to alto, tenor and the lowest, which is bass - if you are unsure don't worry, we can help you at your first rehearsal - just select either if you don't know.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1) There are no refunds on membership fees.

2) Singers should be able to commit to attending 70% or more of rehearsals in order to perform in the end of term concerts and are asked to sign the register at rehearsals each week.

3) We normally perform without music. Singers are asked to put in the appropriate amount of time outside of rehearsals to memorise words and learn your parts. There is usually a little bit of homework each week to revise a couple of songs to ensure we are making progress at each rehearsal. MP3s of parts are supplied to help with learning.

4) Some of our performances (particularly outdoors/Christmas carols) involve singing our 'rolling rep' (choir favourites) in addition to the current terms set pieces. Singers are required to ensure they read the weekly newsletter and communicate with us regarding any additional resources or learning.
