Return to the Past: A Historical Lantern Tour - The Fall of 58
The year is 1758. After weeks of fighting, Louisbourg has surrendered to the English. You are invited to join Governor Drucour and his wife as they take a final tour of the fortress and reflect on their time in the colony, its history, and what its loss will mean for France and for the future of North America.
L'année, c'est 1758. Aprés plusieurs semaines de siège, Louisbourg s'est rendu aux Anglais. Vous êtes invité à joindre le Gouverneur Drucour et sa femme pendant qu'ils prennent une dernière visite de la forteresse et réfléchissent sûr leur temps à l'Isle Royale, son histoire, et ce que sa perte signifiera pour la France et pour l'avenir d'Amérique du Nord.
Price $30.00 + tax Tuesdays at 7:00pm Dates, Sept 18,25 Oct 2,9,16,23 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Rendezvous at Entrance 2 (follow signs). - Doors open at 6:30pm; show starts at 7:00pm. - Walk lasts approximately 2 hours. - Wear comfy footwear and warm clothes. - All daytime visitors to Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site will clear site at 5pm (including those holding tickets to evening events). - No Refunds or exchanges - Rain or Shine. - For more information on this or other events, contact the Fortress of Louisbourg Association at (902)733-3548.
