CAPE COD ROCKIN'COMEDY NIGHT returns to SKIPPY'S PIER ONE for the Annual Season Closing Party! This hysterical comedy night features local radio personalities, Stand up, Song parodies by a live band of Comedians, Impressions, audience Interactive routines and CD giveaways.
Hosted by PIXY 103FM's MATTY B and featuring STAND UP COMEDIAN BRIAN POWERS and THE WORLD GONE CRAZY DUO of "Sauce & Cheese" (GARY MARINO & JOE LONG from WGC Comedy Band!) performing musical comedy as well.
CAPE COD ROCKIN' COMEDY NIGHT is Saturday, October 20 at Pier One (Skippy's) Restaurant in Yarmouth and hosted by PIXY 103FM's Matty B!
There will be cash bar and delicious food available! We will also be celebrating Skippy's Pier One's Year-End Customer Appreciation Party! Some special surprises are planned as well...you never know who will end up on this stage!
ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
BRIAN POWERS Brian Powers, aka The Raging Parent™, is a nationally recognized stand-up comic whose act has always dealt with the comedic ironies of raising kids, being married and getting old. Brian has made numerous television appearances (such as on the A&E, Comedy Central and Showtime networks) and is regularly featured on radio stations throughout the areas (such as WZOU, WZLX, WBUR, WXKS, and WBZ). As The Boston Herald states, Brian Powers regaled the audience with tales about a blue collar guy adjusting to mid-life, middle-class suburbia The Boston Globe writes that, the audience was coaxed into chortles as Brian Powers takes a blue-collar-ish look at lifes myriad confusions and possesses uncanny timing and The Patriot Ledger adds, his tales sparked howling recognition from the crowd
"SAUCE & CHEESE COMEDY DUO" from WORLD GONE CRAZY Best known as the guitarist and drummer from the hysterical WORLD GONE CRAZY COMEDY BAND - Joe Long and Gary Marino began performing as a duo in 2014 as Sauce-n-Cheese hosting comedy shows, fundraisers and resort shows. Which one is sauce and which one cheese? They'll never tell! But they do perform stand up, popular song parodies and impressions from the side splitting World Gone Crazy Show as well fake commercials and even a mis-heard lyrics contest where audience members can win CDs & Tee Shirts! Joe Long is an accomplished touring musician who released his first solo CD recently entitled The Lonely Boneyard. Marino has had a colorful career in comedy, radio and film making and has made national appearances on ABCs Live With Regis & Kelly FOX News and Million Calorie March: The Movie. Add a little Sauce n- Cheese to your night!
MATTY B from PIXY 103 (HOST) PIXY 103's MattyB has been rocking Cape Cod's airwaves for 10 years!!! When he isn't behind the mic on the radio, you can usually find him behind one singing karaoke with a beer in his hand. He is an All-American city boy, raised in the 'burbs, living life in vacationville. He enjoys craft beer, face melting rock 'n' roll, singing loudly at inappropriate times and bacon. More acts to be announced shortly!
GARY MARINO Bostons Gary Marino is a comedian, musician, published author, film-maker and live show producer. He has performed at Laugh Boston, Showcase Live at Gillette Stadium, Newport Grand Casino, Chatham Bars Inn and resorts such as The Cape Codder, Seacrest, Burke Mountain, Wachusett and Gunstock among many other venues. Marino recently opened for acclaimed humorist Loretta LaRoche . He shared the stage with Lenny Clarke at the 5th Annual The Cape Cod Comedy Festival as well as delivered over 200 humorous presentations for Blue Cross Blue Shield between 2004 and 2010. When not hosting shows, charity events and cooking competitions, Marino can be found performing with his comedy band World Gone Crazy: The Comedic Rock & Roll Circus which has been touring New England since 2011. In the past Marino appeared regularly on ABCs Live With Regis & Kelly, Fox News over 300 radio stations nationwide and in print media such as USA Today and People Magazine. Marino got his start in the late 1980s as a producer, writer and on-air side kick on KISS 108FM and has guest hosted on morning shows on WROR-FM and WTKK-FM among others. In the summer of 2017 Gary made multiple appearances guest hosting The Morning Show on North Shore 104.9FM.Marinos 2008 documentary Million Calorie March: The Movie won the prestigious International Freddie Health Award (essentially medical Oscar) where he received congratulations live via satellite from U2s Bono.
