The event will be an on-stage interview with St. Louis Public Radio host Don Marsh.

In this culmination of five decades of studies in presidential history, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin offers an illuminating exploration of the early development, growth, and exercise of leadership. Goodwin draws upon the four presidents she has studied most closely--Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Lyndon B. Johnson--to show how they recognized leadership qualities within themselves and were recognized as leaders by others.  In today's polarized world, these stories of authentic leadership in times of apprehension and fracture take on a singular urgency.

Tickets are general admission. Seating will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Call 314-994-3300 for more information.

Additional copies of Doris Kearns Goodwin's books will be available for purchase and signing from The Novel Neighbor

The proceeds from this event will benefit the Library Foundation's literacy programs.
