Feminist's Night Out with Rebecca Traister - Good and Mad
Join Left Bank Books for a Feminist's Night Out with bestselling author of All the Single Ladies Rebecca Traister, who will sign and discuss her new book, "Good and Mad: The Revolutionary Power of Women's Anger"!
In the year 2018, it seems as if womens anger has suddenly erupted into the public conversation. But long before the Womens March and the #MeToo movement, womens anger was not only politically catalyticbut politically problematic. The story of female fury and its cultural significance demonstrates the long history of bitter resentment that has enshrouded womens slow rise to political power in America, as well as the ways that anger is received when it comes from women as opposed to when it comes from men. With eloquence and fervor, Rebecca Traister tracks the history of female anger as transformative political fuelas is most certainly occurring today.
Doors and the bar will be open at 6:30pm! Come early, grab a drink, and mingle with your fellow feminists before the show gets started!
