The Hook with Gary Carpentier, Sera Bullis and Ryan Burdick
Gary Carpentier
Gary Carpentier is a 27-year-old native of Oswego, NY. He is a singer/songwriter with a dash of "old-school crooner" mixed into his style. Gary has been performing regionally, in Central NY, for 6 years as a solo musician and more recently as 1/3 of the McConnell, Caruso and Carpentier trio. Most notably in October of 2017, Carpentier made an appearance on the NBCs Emmy Winning reality TV series,The Voice, as a part of Team Adam Levine. Out of 90,000 people who auditioned, Carpentier was a part of the top 48 selected. Sera Bullis
Sera Bullis is a singer/songwriter from Syracuse, New York. Sera began singing at a very young age and after a few years of piano lessons, began writing songs. She plays piano, cello, ukulele and dabbles a bit on electric guitar. Sera made her very first public appearance performing her original music at the Auburn Public Theater opening for national folk singer Cheryl Wheeler at age twelve. Sera has been featured on the Syracuse News Channel 9 Carrie Lazarus Extraordinary Talent program twice for songwriting and has won multiple singer/songwriter competitions in the region. She has performed locally as an anthem singer at the Carrier Dome and NBT Bank Stadium. She also sang at the US Tennis Open when she was ten years old. At age 15, Sera has written over thirty songs and has just released her first EP, The Road to Marcellus, this past December. Sera's album recently won a SAMMY (Syracuse Area Music Award) for Best Pop and Sera was also honored with winning the Brian Bourke Best New Artist Award. One of the songs, Way With Words, from her album, won 2nd place in the Teen Category of the 2017 International Songwriting Competition. For more information visit: serabullismusic.com Ryan Burdick Ryan Burdick is a lifelong musician whose focus spans genres but remains fixed on meaningful lyricism with earnest, universal themes. Burdicks roots are rural, performing as a child with his father (also a singer/songwriter) in small towns along the source of the Genesee River in the Southern Tier of Western New York. He has carved his reputation in Central New York performing solo since 2005 throughout the region. Ryan is perhaps best known, however as vocalist, guitarist, and percussionist for the Ruddy Well Band. The group has had many notable performances across the state, has produced three albums, and won two Syracuse Area Music Awards in 2013 for Best Americana Album, and Peoples Choice Award.
