WALNUT HILLS ALUMNI: Joseph-Beth Booksellers presents Anne Lamott discussing "Almost Everything" at Walnut Hills High School
Join us for an evening with Anne Lamott, bestselling author of "Hallelujah Anyway", "Bird by Bird", and "Help, Thanks, Wow", as she presents her newest book of of essays about finding truth and hope even in the face of despair.
"I am stockpiling antibiotics for the Apocalypse, even as I await the blossoming of paperwhites on the windowsill in the kitchen," Anne Lamott admits at the beginning of Almost Everything. Despair and uncertainty surround us: in the news, in our families, and in ourselves. But even when life is at its bleakest - when we are, as she puts it, "doomed, stunned, exhausted, and over-caffeinated" - the seeds of rejuvenation are at hand. In this profound and funny book, Lamott calls for each of us to rediscover the nuggets of hope and wisdom that are buried within us that can make life sweeter than we ever imagined.
*This is a ticketed event. Each order comes with one hardcover copy of "Almost Everything: Notes on Hope" and entrance to the event. Additional books will be available for sale at the event.
**This event is held at Walnut Hills High School. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Books and tickets can be picked up at Walnut Hills starting at 6:30. Seats are not assigned and are first-come, first-serve.
***Those who order and cannot attend the event may pick up their copy of "Almost Everything" at Joseph-Beth Booksellers starting at noon the day following the event. You can also call the bookstore at 513-396-8960 to arrange to have it shipped to you. Orders not picked up by 3 months after the event date will be forfeited.
